Who's behind this
Hi, I'm Daniel
I build Planafolio as a single person — no investors, no sales team, no product sales in the background. There's nobody pushing me to sell you a fund or an insurance policy just because a quarterly target demands it.
It started with my own spreadsheet, trying to wrangle several brokerage accounts and my retirement planning into one place. At some point it was clear: this needs a real tool — so I built one.

Clarity over gut feeling
Everyone should see at a glance whether their assets will cover retirement — without spreadsheet fiddling and without guesswork.
Independent of product sales
Planafolio earns from subscriptions, not commissions. I don't sell you funds, insurance or investment advice.
For savers, not traders
No ticker anxiety, no trading signals. I build tools for long-term wealth planning and retirement.
What Planafolio deliberately doesn't build
- No trading or withdrawal function — Planafolio only reads portfolio data.
- No buy or sell recommendations and no trading signals.
- No commissions on funds, insurance or brokers.
- No ads in the app and no selling of your data.
- No social feed that pits portfolios against each other.
How I handle your data
- The application and database run on a server in Frankfurt.
- Broker credentials and 2FA keys are stored AES-256-GCM encrypted in the database.
- For syncing, Planafolio only calls read-only interfaces. Use only API credentials with read permissions. For Binance, Coinbase and OKX, Planafolio checks the key's permissions automatically and rejects keys with trading or withdrawal rights; for all other providers, the permissions you grant are not checked automatically.
- You delete your account yourself in the settings; encrypted backups expire after 90 days.
- Statistics and marketing measurement only run with your consent.
